October 06, 2023: Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering TechnicalCampus RamaMandi Jalandhar recently organized a workshop titled “Hands-on Practice with OpenCV using Python.” This workshop was a significant event that showcased the institute’s dedication to providing high-quality education and promoting innovation in the field of computer science and engineering.
Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director #AIMETC stated, “The primary focus of this workshop was to equip participants with valuable skills in computer vision and image processing using OpenCV, an open-source library widely recognized for its power and versatility in image processing and computer vision tasks. OpenCV is a critical tool for developers and researchers working with images and videos, enabling applications in various fields, such as object detection, facial recognition, and more”.
The success of the workshop can be attributed to the expertise of the resource persons – Mr. Gaurav Sharma, Ms. Anjali Goyal, and Mr. Gurminder Singh from O7 Services. These individuals are esteemed experts in the field of computer vision, with extensive experience working with OpenCV and Python. Their knowledge and practical insights enriched the learning experience for the participants, making it engaging and informative.
At the end of the workshop, Dr. Rajesh Bagga, the Director #AIMETC, encouraged students to actively engage in similar workshops.
