AIMETC Celebrated National Science Week with Technical Workshops and Expert Sessions
The Engineering Club under the School of Engineering & Technology at Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar, successfully organized National Science Week from February 24 to February 28, 2026. The event aimed to nurture scientific temperament, technical excellence, and innovative thinking among students.
🎓 Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director of AIMETC, appreciated the initiative taken by the Engineering Club. He emphasized the importance of bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry requirements through practical workshops and expert-led sessions. He encouraged students to actively participate in such knowledge-driven activities to enhance their technical competencies and awareness of emerging technologies.
Workshop on Website Designing
The celebration began with a Workshop on Website Designing (February 24–26). The workshop focused on equipping students with essential skills required to plan, design, and develop functional, user-friendly, and visually appealing websites.
Participants learned about:
- Layout planning and interface design
- Content structuring
- Integration of functionality with aesthetics
- Current industry trends in web development
The sessions emphasized hands-on learning, enabling students to understand the importance of collaboration between designers, developers, and content creators in building effective digital solutions.
Expert Session on DBMS and Career Opportunities
On February 27, an expert session was conducted on “The Role of Database Management Systems (DBMS) in Career Opportunities and AI Systems.”
Students gained insights into how DBMS manages complex datasets and supports organizational decision-making. The session also highlighted how databases act as the backbone of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications and explored career opportunities in data science, analytics, database administration, and AI development.
Session on the Application of Mathematics
The concluding session on February 28 focused on the “Application of Mathematics” in modern fields such as technology, engineering, finance, and scientific research.
Discussions covered topics including:
- Algorithms used in search engines
- Cryptography in Cybersecurity
- Statistical data analysis
- Mathematical modeling in engineering, medicine, and business
The session also emphasized the importance of mathematics in daily life, logical reasoning, budgeting, and problem-solving.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across departments and concluded on an inspiring note. The program was successfully organized under the guidance and coordination of Atulika and Vikas Kumar, whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth execution of the activities.
National Science Week reinforced AIMETC’s commitment to promoting innovation, research-oriented thinking, and holistic technical development among aspiring engineers.
