We celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with patriotic fervour and a renewed commitment to nation-building, with the NCC Department spearheading the celebrations. The celebration provided an opportunity for the institute community to remember the sacrifices of the freedom movement while reflecting on the responsibility of the younger generation in shaping India’s journey towards 2047.  

The celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by Director, Dr. Rajesh Bagga, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem. The programme provided a vibrant platform for students to express their patriotic fervour and ideas for nation-building. Students shared their thoughts through inspiring speeches and poetic recitals, highlighting the values of freedom, unity, responsibility and the role of youth in shaping a developed India. Their performances reflected both pride in the nation’s rich heritage and confidence in its future.  

The celebration concluded on a soulful and emotional note with the collective singing of ‘Vande Mataram’, commemorating 150 years of the iconic national song that inspired generations during India’s freedom struggle.
