Jalandhar, September 30, 2013: The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of the institute organised an event titled 'Artistique: Photothon 2013'. The shortlisted students were asked to click pictures on the theme of 'Child Labor' in and around the Jalandhar region. Aastha Sharma of MBA 3A and Gurjot Singh of MBA 3C were declared as the joint winners.
For continuous counselling of each and every student at the Institute throughout his/her stay a student advisory system has been devised. In this system teachers are appointed as advisor for batch of 15-20 students and a chief counsellor is appointed to coordinate activities of the advisors. Through this system advisor provide guidance and encourage students to build up a balanced personality.
Corporate Relation Cell consisting of three faculty members has been constituted for intensifying and escalating interaction with the industry.
Under the University Curriculum, all students of MBA and BBA have to undergo a mandatory 6-8 weeks "On-The-Job" training in commercial undertakings after the end of their second and fourth semester respectively. Similarly, MCA students have to undergo one semester training during their sixth semester. During "On-The-Job" training, these students are expected to be familiar with the work culture and get an insight into the practical problem of the concerned organization. Further, during their training, students have to complete the assignment on a project, which is related to some practical problem.
Further MBA students have also to complete a field study and present a detailed report under the supervision of a faculty member during their fourth semester.
