Jalandhar, May 25, 2023: The fourth day started with an initial session by Dr Hemant Kumar Vinayak, Associate Professor, NITTTR, Chandigarh. He talked about the various incubation centres and schemes that are being developed by Government of India for the purpose of providing support to the young entrepreneurs. The second session of the FDP was by Dr Srikant Sahoo, Principal, Northern Regional Demonstration & Training Centre, National Dairy Development Board, Jalandhar. Dr Sahoo shared his expertise about the dairy farming and how one can earn from selling milk as well as from using cow dung as source of additional revenue.
The last session of the FDP was by Dr Sukhdip Singh Hundal, Deputy Director Horticulture, Kapurthala-cum-State Nodal Officer Cucurbits & Kitchen Gardening, Punjab. Dr Hundal guided the students and faculty about organic farming. He elaborated on how to build a start-up business with horticulture products and also expressed that government is providing many facilities to support the farmers in India.
