We celebrated Teachers’Day with great enthusiasm and fervour, paying tribute to the dedication, commitment and invaluable contribution of its teaching fraternity towards shaping the lives, careers and character of students.
The celebration commenced with an inspiring address by Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC who read out the warm Teachers’Day greetings and best wishes extended by Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education, to the faculty members. Mrs. Berlia, appreciated the invaluable role of teachers in shaping not only the academic journey of students but also their lives and aspirations. She expressed her appreciation for the teaching fraternity and wished all teachers continued success, fulfilment and joy in their noble journey of nurturing young minds and enriching lives.
A special highlight of the celebration was the presentation of unique titles to faculty members based on a survey conducted to capture students’ perspectives and appreciation of their teachers.
A thought-provoking guest lecture on AI vs You: Who Will Win the Future Job Market?”was organized by us with the objective of creating awareness among students about the rapidly evolving impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on careers, employment, and the future workplace. The resource person for the session was Mr. Deepak Sharma, Director, Globiz Technologies Inc, USA.
Addressing the students, Mr. Deepak Sharma highlighted the importance of continuously upgrading one’s knowledge and skills in the present age of AI. He stressed that while AI may automate several routine and repetitive tasks, individuals who possess creativity, critical thinking, communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively with AI tools will remain highly valuable in the future job market. He encouraged students not to view AI solely as a competitor but to learn how to use it as a powerful tool for enhancing productivity, innovation, and problem-solving. He remarked that the future will belong to those who are willing to learn, unlearn, and relearn, and urged students to make upskilling and continuous learning an integral part of their professional journey.
We organised an insightful guest lecture under Parwaaz 2026 – The Student Onboarding Programme, providing students with an opportunity to gain practical insights into entrepreneurship, business growth and the journey of transforming ideas into successful ventures.
The resource person for the session was Mr. Anurag Arora, entrepreneur, business and technology strategist, and TEDx and Josh Talks speaker, who addressed the students on the theme “Start to Scale Up: How Businesses Grow from Scratch.”
During his interaction with the students, Mr. Arora shared valuable insights into the realities of building and scaling a business from the ground up. Drawing from his own experiences, he explained that successful businesses are rarely built overnight and require persistence, continuous learning, effective systems, adaptability and a clear vision.
The session offered students a valuable opportunity to understand entrepreneurship from a real-world perspective and encouraged them to look beyond conventional career pathways. We celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with patriotic fervour and a renewed commitment to nation-building, with the NCC Department spearheading the celebrations. The celebration provided an opportunity for the institute community to remember the sacrifices of the freedom movement while reflecting on the responsibility of the younger generation in shaping India’s journey towards 2047.
The celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by Director, Dr. Rajesh Bagga, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem. Our HRD Cell organized a Faculty Development Program on the topic “Machine Learning Foundations: From Data to Intelligence.” The resource person for the session was Mr. Rohit Verma, Assistant Professor, School of Engineering & Technology. The FDP was conducted to provide insights into AI & ML along with their real-world practical applications.
Mr. Rohit Verma emphasized the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in industries such as education, healthcare, finance, robotics, and day-to-day life. He further explained the concept of Machine Learning and its major types, including supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning. The speaker connected the discussion with famous movie-based AI systems such as JARVIS from Iron Man and Skynet from The Terminator series to explain how intelligent systems are imagined and implemented using AI technologies.
Several real-world applications of machine learning were explained during the session, including fraud detection, property price prediction, salary prediction, recommendation systems, medical diagnosis, and spam email filtering. The NSS Club of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus organised a “Women Health and Hygiene Awareness Programme with Sanitary Pads Distribution” in the nearby villages of Jandusinghe and Dhogri.
The initiative focused on spreading awareness about menstrual hygiene, nutrition, disease prevention, and overall well-being, while addressing period poverty and breaking social stigma. Through interactive sessions and sanitary pad distribution, women were educated on proper usage, safe disposal practices, and the importance of personal hygiene.

The campus came alive as the Lohri bonfire was lit—symbolizing prosperity, renewal, and new beginnings. Faculty and staff offered rewri, gachak, peanuts, and popcorn into the sacred fire, seeking blessings for peace, progress, and collective well-being. The celebration was further enlivened by folk music and spontaneous traditional dance, creating an atmosphere of warmth and togetherness.

The celebration served as a platform for thought leadership and reflective learning, where students delivered insightful PowerPoint presentations inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy of fearless youth, ethical leadership, and social responsibility.
