“Business Cannot Succeed on a Failing Planet”

Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar, successfully conducted a thought-provoking Faculty Development Program (FDP) on the theme “Business Cannot Succeed on a Failing Planet.”

The session featured Dr. Sukhbir Sandhu, eminent Associate Professor at the University of South Australia and Director, Centre of Workplace Excellence (CWeX), as the distinguished resource person.

The FDP commenced with a warm floral welcome for Dr. Sandhu by Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC. In his introductory remarks, Dr. Bagga highlighted Dr. Sandhu’s inspiring professional journey, noting that she began her illustrious career at Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering. With a distinguished career marked by over 60 high-impact research publications and global recognition, Dr. Sandhu’s insights proved deeply inspiring. Her work has influenced not only academic discourse but also real-world policy frameworks, including legislation in South Australia and initiatives supported by the United Nations.

The session generated engaging discussions on green business transitions, the role of academia in promoting sustainability, and the power of collective action in addressing climate challenges.

Apeejay PINNACLE 2024: A Kaleidoscope of Talent and Team Spirit at Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus, Jalandhar

Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus, Jalandhar reverberated with energy and enthusiasm as it hosted Apeejay PINNACLE 2024, under the guidance of Madam Chairperson, Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia.

Apeejay Pinnacle is an annual fiesta featuring a diverse array of events. This grand celebration witnessed active participation from students of all three schools — Management, IT, and Engineering — who showcased their talents and skills in 35 different competitions held during Apeejay Pinnacle 2024.

The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the esteemed Chief Guest, Shri Randeep Singh Heer, PCS, SDM Jalandhar-I, marking the auspicious beginning of Apeejay Pinnacle 2024.

In his inaugural address, the Chief Guest expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the management and the Director of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus for their invaluable infrastructural support during the Panchayati elections, highlighting the institute’s strong commitment to public service and community development.

Mr. Heer inspired students to make the most of the exceptional opportunities available at AIMETC, including its state-of-the-art infrastructure, rich resources, and highly dedicated faculty. He emphasized the importance of utilizing these advantages to achieve aspirations and excel in their chosen fields.

Drawing from his personal journey, the Chief Guest shared meaningful anecdotes reflecting the challenges and triumphs that shaped his career. He stressed the role of hard work, persistence, and skill development in transforming dreams into reality. He further highlighted that setbacks and failures are essential in building resilience and courage, ultimately leading to success.

Madam Chairperson expressed her delight in witnessing enthusiastic participation from students of all three schools competing for top honours.

Dr. Bagga further shared his happiness that almost every student of the institute participated in Pinnacle, highlighting the importance of such platforms in preparing students for professional excellence. He also commended the consistent achievements of Apeejay students that bring pride to the institution.

Apeejay Pinnacle 2024 opened with a captivating Ganesh Vandana, followed by a series of enthralling performances and competitions.

The event attracted a large audience, including members of the Board of Governors of Apeejay Education Society, press representatives, and other distinguished guests, who enjoyed the vibrant performances throughout the day.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Dr. Rajneesh Arya, Dean, School of Management, bringing Apeejay Pinnacle 2024 to a successful and memorable close.
