The celebrations commenced with a heartfelt reflection on the life journey and numerous accomplishments of Madam Sushma Paul Berlia. The Director conveyed warm birthday wishes on behalf of the faculty and students, expressing hopes for boundless happiness and many more years of brilliance for esteemed Madam Sushma Paul Berlia. The celebration reached its zenith with a spectacular folk-dance performance, captivating the audience with vibrant cultural expressions. To conclude the event, colorful balloons were released into the air, symbolising the aspirations and goodwill of all present.
October 11, 2023: Information Technology Club organised ‘Pixel Perfection: The 4 Days Web Design Challenge’. The event was conducted to evaluate the website development skills of the students of various streams. They were given four days to develop a website and presented it. The students of B.Tech (CSE), BCA and MCA participated with full enthusiasm and spirit in the event.
Tanvi Parmar and Harsh Mankotia from B. Tech (CSE) of Semester-VII bagged the first position whereas Bhawana and Abhishek Chauhan from MCA (Semester-III) bagged the second position in the competition.
October 11, 2023: HR Club of AIMETC organised an activity, ‘Connection Crusade’ for the students of BBA, B. Com (H) and MBA. The students exhibited enthusiasm and true sporting values. They embraced the challenge presented by the time-based format, attempting to answer questions correctly within the stipulated time of 30 seconds for each round. The subsequent rounds were focussed on knowing strengths & weaknesses of the team members and to develop the skill of working as a unit. The aim of the competition was to help students to learn from team-based activities, networking and form connections.
October 08, 2023: In honour of the valiant heroes who guard our skies, NCC Wing, organised a captivating PowerPoint presentation competition titled ‘Aerial Excellence: Air Force Day Celebration 2023’.
The students participated with full enthusiasm and spirit in the event. During the competition, all the participants showcased their knowledge through wonderful presentation skills. Subhankar and Akansha from B. Tech (Semester-VII) (AIML) bagged the First Position whereas Kashish and Simran from B. Tech (CSE) Semester-I secured the Second position. The Director of AIMETC, congratulated the winners and motivated the students to participate in similar extra-curricular activities for their overall grooming.

October 07, 2023: Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus RamaMandi Jalandhar recently hosted a spectacular ‘Parichay 2023′ freshers’ party where the new batch of students from the School of Management, IT, and Engineering came together for an unforgettable day of fun, bonding, and celebration. The event aimed to welcome the newcomers and provide them with a platform to interact with their seniors and foster a sense of belonging within the campus community.
The event was nothing short of a carnival, as students immersed themselves in a myriad of activities. Laughter and excitement filled the air as the new students, brimming with enthusiasm, indulged in singing, dancing, and engaging in a variety of games. ‘Parichay 2023’ served as an icebreaker, breaking down the initial barriers and allowing students to build lasting connections with their peers. One of the standout moments of the event was the glamorous ramp walk, where the young ladies showcased poise, elegance, style, and an abundance of confidence. October 06, 2023: Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering TechnicalCampus RamaMandi Jalandhar recently organized a workshop titled “Hands-on Practice with OpenCV using Python.” This workshop was a significant event that showcased the institute’s dedication to providing high-quality education and promoting innovation in the field of computer science and engineering.
Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director #AIMETC stated, “The primary focus of this workshop was to equip participants with valuable skills in computer vision and image processing using OpenCV, an open-source library widely recognized for its power and versatility in image processing and computer vision tasks. OpenCV is a critical tool for developers and researchers working with images and videos, enabling applications in various fields, such as object detection, facial recognition, and more”.
The success of the workshop can be attributed to the expertise of the resource persons – Mr. Gaurav Sharma, Ms. Anjali Goyal, and Mr. Gurminder Singh from O7 Services. These individuals are esteemed experts in the field of computer vision, with extensive experience working with OpenCV and Python. Students from #BTECH (CSE) #BCA #BBA #BCOM(H) #MBA #MCA took part in the competition. The coordinators of the event were Ms. Kavita Verma and Mr. Rahul Handa, both Faculty, #SchoolofManagement. Mr. Amanpartap Singh Pall, Convenor, Sports Club motivated the participants and guided them to make this competition a true celebration of intellect and skill.

October 04, 2023: AIMETC celebrated Founder’s Day to pay tribute to beloved Dr Stya Paul Ji, Founder Chairman, Apeejay Education on his 104 th Birth Anniversary. The Founder’s Day celebrations started with a beautiful Vandana performance which set a tone of reverence and spiritual significance for the event. September 30, 2023: The Wellness and Happiness club of organised a Faculty Development Programme on Nurturing life skills by famous life coach and motivational speaker Mrs Tarveen Kaur. She motivated the faculty to have a positive mindset in life. To help faculty develop a positive mindset she laid down certain points like having gratitude towards life, celebrating small wins in life and other such aspects. The session was enriching for the faculty members.
September 30, 2023: We are proud to share that AIMETC student – Shriya Maini received an award & cash prize from the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu. She was selected to receive the prestigious NSS Award (Volunteer Category) for the year 2021-22.
This honor is bestowed by the Union Youth Affairs and Sports in recognition of Shriya's exceptional dedication and passion for serving the nation as an NSS Volunteer. She was bestowed with a Silver Medal, a certificate and a Cash Prize of Rs. 1,00,000/-. The award ceremony took place at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi, on 29 th September 2023.

September 29, 2023: On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary, the NSS department organised an inspiring Declamation Contest centered around the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the Clean India Campaign. This event, hosted on our campus, witnessed the enthusiastic participation of our students who wholeheartedly pledged their commitment to this nationwide movement for cleanliness and sanitation.
The students expressed their resolution to follow disciplines of Gandhi Ji and practice righteousness in every aspect of life. They actively engaged in a campus-wide cleanliness drive, demonstrating their dedication to maintaining a clean and hygienic environment within our educational institution. September 27, 2023: The Corporate Relation Cell (CRC) organised an Industrial Visit to provide exposure to the students to the practical working environment. To make the students understand and acquaint them with the various aspects of production process, the students of MBA (Semester-I) were taken to Sukhjit Starch and Chemicals Ltd, Rehana Jattan, Phagwara. Supervisors of the organisation explained the technological marvel of production of their food processing products. Students interacted with the engineers and learned the technical aspects of the production and operations.
September 15, 2023: AIMETC rang in Engineer's Day with multiple events and activities that left everyone inspired and amazed. Dr Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC, delivered an inspiring address, emphasising the vital role that engineers play in shaping the world's future. He emphasised that Engineering is not just a field of study, it's a way of thinking.
The event commenced with an engaging presentation by Raavi, Kamalpreet, and Akansha, students from B. Tech (Semester – VII), who provided valuable insights into the significance of Engineer's Day. The day unfolded with Projects’ Presentation competition, where students presented their ingenious innovations demonstrating Bluetooth Speakers, Sensing Temperature using Arduino, Blind Stick, Robotic Car, Sensor based dustbins and more. The diversity of projects displayed the exceptional engineering talent cultivated at AIMETC.

September 15, 2023: AIMETC hosted Prestigious National Level Inter B-School Summer Internship Presentation Competition. The event brought together some of the finest management institutions from across the country. Further, it showcased the diverse talents and innovative ideas of students from these esteemed institutions.
The participants presented their summer internship projects, demonstrating their ability to apply classroom knowledge to real-world business challenges. The event provided a unique opportunity for students to interact with industry experts, gain valuable feedback and enhance their presentation skills. A key highlight of the Inter B-School Summer Internship Presentation Competition was the esteemed panel of judges, whose wealth of experience and knowledge played a pivotal role in shaping the course of the event.
September 13, 2023: The Corporate Relation Cell of AIMETC in collaboration with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organised a workshop on ‘5S Methodology – Improve Efficiency with Effective Organisation.’ The venue for the workshop was Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala.
The resource person for the session was Mr Sonu Bansal, an Associate Counsellor at the CII Centre of Excellence for Competitiveness for SMEs explained how Kaizen 5S is implemented in their workplace. Students had the opportunity to understand each of the 5S principles which are instrumental in continuous improvement of an organisation.
The session was followed by a visit to the various sections of the Science City where the students got to explore the space theatre, laser theatre, 3D theatre, digital planetarium and dinosaur park among others. the students also visited galleries on evolution, birds, and climate change theatre.
September 11, 2023: Recently, the students of AIMETC participated in an inter-college event ‘Future Business Sharks 2.0’ organised by TIE Chandigarh. This event brought together students of 154 different colleges from across North India, showcasing their business aptitude and decision-making skills. The event commenced with Stage I, where participants faced challenging questions based on corporate case studies. These case studies were meticulously designed to assess the participants’ decision-making abilities, a crucial skill in the business world.

September 06, 2023: Students of AIMETC participated in the Art Simpson Painting Competition organised by Alpha Mahendru Foundation in collaboration with Jungle Killol Foundation. More than 15 Teams took part in the Competition. Students of B. Tech. (CSE), BCA, MCA, MBA, BBA and B. Com. (Hons.) participated with full enthusiasm and spirit in the event. August 25, 2023: Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering hosted an alumni talk featuring esteemed guest speaker, Dr Jatinder J Singh, Associate Professor of Marketing & Business Ethics at EADA Business School, Barcelona, Spain. The event centred around the theme 'Unleashing Leadership Potential to Navigate Success' and provided valuable insights into leadership, purpose-driven contributions, effective communication, and ethical decision-making. Ethics and sustainability were central themes of Dr. Singh's discourse.

August 23, 2023: Our institute marked the successful conclusion of the 31-Day Induction Programme, ‘Aarambh,’ with a dazzling grand finale featuring Apeejay Talentonia 2023.The ‘Aarambh’- Induction Programme, held from August 1, 2023 to August 31, 2023 was designed to provide an immersive and holistic onboarding experience for the new batch of students of MBA, MCA, BTECH, BBA, BCOM (Honours) and BCA courses.
The programme aimed to not only introduce them to the academic rigour and ethos of the institution but also foster personal and professional development. During the month-long journey, students were exposed to a diverse range of activities, workshops and sessions, encompassing academic orientation, team- building exercises, cultural interactions, and leadership development. August 23, 2023: The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Wing of AIMETC conducted the enrolment drive for the students. Commanding Officer – Mr Vindod Joshi, Subedar – Mr Rajwinder Singh and other officials from 2-PB. BN NCC Jalandhar elaborated the benefits of joining the National Cadet Corps and wonderfully elucidated how an NCC cadet has cutting edge over the other students.
During the process, physical test and other activities were carried out. A written test was also conducted to check general knowledge of the students post the physical test. Dr Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC, congratulated and motivated the students to serve the nation by becoming a part of NCC Wing.
August 21, 2023: The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) celebrated World Entrepreneurs’ Day with great enthusiasm. The event featured inspiring stories from both experienced and young entrepreneurs, highlighting the challenges and triumphs they encountered on their entrepreneurial journeys.
A guest lecture from an experienced entrepreneur was organised for the students. Dr Satnam Dass, Mentor, Start-Up Cell, Department Industries & Commerce, Government of Punjab, a renowned wellness coach was the resource person for the guest lecture. Arshita Bassi, a brilliant student pursuing her MBA at Apeejay Institute, took center stage to share her remarkable entrepreneurial journey. Nishika Mogla, a dynamic BBA student and a budding entrepreneur herself, also graced the event with her presence. The event concluded with a sense of motivation and enthusiasm among the attendees.
August 18, 2023: Recently, an Expert talk was organised on the topic ‘Gender Inequality.’ The students of B. Tech (CSE), BCA, MCA, MBA, B. Com (H) and BBA actively participated for this session. The resource person, Randeep Kaur (Medical Officer) Civil Hospital, Amritsar explained how Gender equality is important as it gives everyone, regardless of their gender, the same opportunities and rights. Also, she explained preventing the spread of HIV and AIDS. The workshop was a success, and the students learned a lot about gender inequality and HIV and AIDS. Dr Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC motivated the students that equality should be given to both the genders without any discrimination.
August 16, 2023: The institute remembered the contribution of the freedom fighters as they celebrated the 77th Independence Day. A patriotic poem recitation competition was organised by the NCC wing. The students of NCC from different streams actively participated in the event. Gulshan from MCA bagged the First position. Second position was secured by Jasmilan of BCA (Semester V) and the Third position was awarded to Arushi Suri of B. Tech CSE (Semester I). All the winners were awarded with certificates.
August 12, 2023 AIMETC under Aarambh 2023 organised ‘Apeejay Fun-Athleticon,’ a one-day sports event for the new batch students of MBA, MCA, B. Tech., BBA, B.Com and BCA. Multiple athletic and fun games were held for both girls and boys comprising Lemon Race, Sack Race, Save your Balloon, Strongest Man (Push-Ups), Fun Games, Tug-of-war, Treasure Hunt and Chess.

August 11, 2023: A spectacular promotional campaign for the highly anticipated Punjabi movie ‘Junior’ was organised at AIMETC. The lead actors, Mr Amiek Virk and Ms Srishti Jain were accorded a warm and enthusiastic welcome by both the faculty and the students of the institution. August 04, 2023: The students of AIMETC enthusiastically attended the Induction programme as they attended a day packed with insightful sessions from the alumni and industry experts. Saurabh Sethi, an alumnus of MBA 2006 batch gave the students tips to succeed in life and any profession that one chooses. Hitesh Dawar, another MCA alumnus, discusses about start-ups and also explained the students the steps to turn a business idea into a successful venture.
Also, the professors from various departments discussed about the research approach, importance of soft skills in professional programmes, elaborated the importance of effective leadership & teamwork, the Department of Student Welfare and National Service Scheme (NSS). They were also apprised about the Institute Innovation Council (IIC) The Institute Innovation Council is an initiative by the Government of India, under the Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education, to foster innovation and entrepreneurship culture among students and faculty members.

The resource person for the first session was Mr Ashwani Kumar, Chairman (Northern Region) – Federation of Indian Export Organisation (FIEO) and Managing Partner, Victor Forgings, on Professional Ethics and Corporate Working Culture. He emphasised the importance of Guru in the life of every student, he also motivated the students to make optimal utilisation of the technological devices.
The students actively participated and attended the sessions taken by the experts. The day concluded with Experiential Learning activities in the students learnt various interpersonal skills, managerial skills, team building skills and conflict resolution skills by performing certain tasks.
August 1, 2023: AIMETC organised a Havan ceremony with the students, faculty and staff to mark the commencement of a new academic session. An institution where tradition and excellence coexist cordially, the ceremony is an annual feature conducted at the onset of every academic session. To mark the auspicious occasion, the director, deans, faculty and students gathered for a Havan ceremony, seeking blessings for a successful and fruitful academic journey. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of Prashad, signifying the spirit of unity and harmony among the Apeejay family.
August 1, 2023: A 31-day induction programme Aarambh 2023 was organised for the first-year students of MBA, MCA, BBA, B. Com. & B. Tech. courses which commenced in Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus. The purpose of this Induction programme was to help the new students develop a sense of camaraderie and acquaint them with the functioning of the institution.
The Director of the institute, Dr Rajesh Bagga, gave a warm welcome to all the new students. He elucidated the rich legacy of Dr Stya Paul which is being carried forward by her only child and daughter Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia. In her message, Madam Chairperson motivated the students to strive for excellence with earnest dedication and perseverance.
July 28-29, 2023: AIMETC conducted a highly successful workshop on Sci Lab, a powerful scientific computing software used for various analytical and computational purposes.
The workshop aimed to provide students and faculty with hands-on experience and practical insights into the applications of Sci Lab in the field of Mathematics and beyond.
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, academicians, and researchers alike. Ms. Parbhjot Kaur, Assistant Professor #SchoolofEngineering led the session as the resource person. With her extensive expertise and profound knowledge of Sci Lab, Ms. Kaur effectively guided the participants through the various functionalities and tools offered by the software.
During the workshop, participants were introduced to the fundamentals of Sci Lab and its wide-ranging applications in mathematical modelling, data analysis, simulation, and research. The interactive sessions provided a conducive environment for attendees to explore and experiment with the software, gaining valuable hands-on experience.
Dr Rajesh Bagga, Director #AIMETC, highly lauded the efforts and dedication displayed by Ms. Parbhjot Kaur in conducting the workshop. July 24 & 25, 2023: A two-day Workshop on Artificial Intelligence: The Future of Technologies was successfully concluded at Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering, RamaMandi, Jalandhar. The workshop was interactive, with discussion on applications of AI in Automated Customer Support, Robot Navigation, Biometrics, NLP, Personalised Shopping Experience, Health Care, Finance, etc. and online quizzes.
Dr Kulwant Kaur, Associate Professor & Dean, School of Information Technology, AIMETC was the resource person for the workshop. She emphasised the use of AI tools for students, and she discussed how AI can be used to improve learning, research and problem-solving. She also discussed the ethical implications of AI, and she encouraged students to use AI responsibly.
July 19 & 20, 2023: The institute organised a two-day workshop on Tally Prime which covered a wide-range of concepts on the basics of accounting through the use of latest version of Tally. The participants gained hands-on experience with Tally Prime’s powerful tools, which helped them gain their practical accounting skills. The resource person for the workshop was Ms Rajinder Kaur, Assistant Professor and an expert Tally trainer, SOM, AIMETC. Ms Kaur engaged the participants with interactive discussions and real-life examples, making the learning experience interesting and insightful.
July 14 & 15, 2023: A two-day workshop was organised on Fundamentals and Stock Market Insights. The workshop provided comprehensive learning in investment and the stock market. It covered topics such as investment basics, stock trading, market trend analysis and identifying lucrative opportunities. The resource person for the workshop was Dr Anu Sahi, Assistant Professor, School of Management, AIMETC. She emphasised the significance of early-age investment education, equipping attendees with valuable insights into the world of finance and investing.

July 5 & 6, 2023: A two-day workshop on Advanced Excel Skills – Mastery of Spreadsheets concluded at AIMETC. The workshop was a comprehensive learning experience
that covered a wide-range of topics, including advanced formulas and functions,
data analysis and visualisation, pivot tables and charts, macros & automation and
tips & tricks for increased productivity. Mr Daljeet Singh, Assistant Professor,
School of Information Technology, AIMETC, was the resource person of the
workshop. He provided hands-on training and practical exercises to help
participants gain valuable insights and practical skills that can be directly applied
in their personal and professional lives.
July 3 & 4, 2023: Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar,
recently concluded a two-day workshop on Canva Design – Beginners and
Experts. Students from various schools and colleges came together to explore
this powerful design tool. The workshop covered the basics of Canva to the more
advanced techniques like typography, flyer design and logo creation. The
students learned how to use Canva to create social media posts, invitation cards,
presentations and even video edits. Dr Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC,
congratulated the participants on their dedication and enthusiasm throughout
the workshop.
June 21, 2023: Recently, the institute celebrated International Yoga Day 2023, spreading
awareness about the incredible benefits of practicing yoga. The theme for this
year was "Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.” This theme beautifully embodying
our shared objective for "One Earth, One Family and One Future." The students
from various streams enthusiastically participated in the event, practicing various
yoga asanas.
At AIMETC, we remain committed to fostering an environment that supports the
holistic development of our students. Through initiatives like International Yoga Day, we aim to nurture their physical, mental & spiritual growth and development of our students.
June 19, 2023: The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) and Innovation and Incubation
Cell (IIC) of the institute organised an engaging Expert Lecture under the ‘Alumni
Connect Series” on the topic ‘Start-up: How to begin.’ The lecture was conducted
for B. Tech, MCA, MBA, BCA, BBA and B. Com. (H) students.
The keynote speaker for the session was the Apeejay Alumni, Shriya Maini. She
shared her inspiring journey and personal experiences of starting her own
business, highlighting her own start-up, 'Immuno Eats’. She discussed the key
areas such as identifying and refining business ideas, market analysis, effective
organisational strategies and funding avenues.
June 07, 2023: The institute organised a prayer meeting to pay tribute to Dr Stya Paul, the inspiration behind Apeejay Education institutions, on his 13 th Punya Tithi. It was an occasion to seek blessings and salute the noble and great personality for being a visionary and inspiration to the members of Apeejay Education family.
Dr Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC, faculty and staff members paid homage to Dr Stya Paul. In his address, the Director said that Dr Stya Paul was a father figure to the Apeejay Stya family and it was reflected in the personal care and concern he had for each of its member. Dr Bagga further added that the legacy of Dr Stya Paul continues in the form of institutions that he had built. “Each of these institutions”, he mentioned, “are living monuments that stand for the values and pursuit of excellence that Dr Stya Paul cherished”. The prayer meeting concluded by observing silence to pay respect and tribute to the noble soul.
June 05, 2023: The institute celebrated World Environment Day and the theme for this was ‘Sustainable Future: Reuse, Recycle, and Plant.’ The students of AIMETC were guided about the importance of tree plantation and reduce deforestation. They were also made aware about how plastic and other waste material that clog our landfills.
June 05, 2023: The institute recently organised a highly informative and enriching industrial visit
for its students. The participants went to the publication unit of Punjab Kesri, one
of India's leading newspapers. The objective of the industrial visit was to provide
the students with practical insights into the effective use of technology, optimum
utilisation of resources and the implementation of efficient managerial and
technological practices. This engagement enabled the students to grasp the
significance of these aspects within the context of a fast-paced and dynamic
industry.
June 05, 2023: The Research Development and Consultancy Cell of our institute organised an
interactive session on Research Methodology. The aim of the session was to
enhance the research skills and knowledge of our faculty members and provide
them with the necessary tools and techniques for conducting high-quality
research.
The resource person for the session was Dr Harvinder Singh, Professor, IMT,
Ghaziabad, U.P. He spoke about the various areas of research – research
methodologies and approaches, how to understand research design and
hypothesis formulation and more.
April 09, 2023: AIMETC takes immense pride in sharing that one of our student Raghav Kapoor of MBA Semester IV is releasing his new song GUMRAAH on 12 April 2023. The upcoming song will be releasing on all OTT platforms. The event for the poster release of the song was held at THE CLUB, Mumbai where more than 20 media houses are invited. Raghav is a leading singer and has achieved many such milestones. Dr Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC wished Raghav success for his upcoming song and motivated him to achieve greater heights in his singing career.
April 08, 2023: The Students of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar brought laurels to the Institute by winning top positions and runners-up trophy in various events in the recently concluded inter-college event ‘PLASMA 2023’. The students participated in competitions such as IT Quiz, Web Portal Development, Logic Whirlpool, Tech GD, and IT Skills, with great zeal and enthusiasm. The participants put in their best efforts to showcase their talents and skills at each of these events.

April 08, 2023: The Technology Club of our institute recently organised a Quiz Competition on the eve of International Safer Internet Day. The students of B. Tech, BCA and MCA participated with enthusiasm in the event. The questions were related to Cyber Crime, Cyber Securities and Digital information threats. Rachitesh Sharma from BCA Semester-IV bagged the first position whereas Tanvi Parmar from B. Tech, Semester-VI (CSE-AI-ML) bagged the second position. Isha of BCA, Semester-VI stood third in the competition.
March 29th, 2023: The Finance Club of AIMETC organised the ‘FinQuiz 2023.’ The objective of the competition was to create awareness among the students on issues related to Finance. The quiz covered a range of topics including Basic Accounting concepts, Bank name abbreviations, Banking logos, taglines etc. It was a great opportunity for all to not only test their financial literacy but also learn more about the ongoing financial changes in the market. Dr Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC appreciated the students and congratulated the winners. He encouraged the students to participate more in such extra-curricular activities for their holistic development.
March 29, 2023: The Engineering Club organised a ‘Learning-cum-Blogging’ activity for the students of Engineering and IT. The activity aimed to promote new technical advancement among the students of the institute and make them aware of the blogging platform. The students of BCA, B. Tech, CSE, IoT and AI participated enthusiastically and enjoyed the event. Neha and Ankita students of BCA, Semester – IV bagged first position, Sezal and Shubhankar both of B. Tech, Semester VI bagged the second position and Gurveer and Harshit students of B. Tech, Semester- IV secured the third position.
March 24, 2023: The institute organised a Marketing Quiz for the students of MBA, BBA and B.Com (H). The participants showed their knowledge on general awareness, brand names, information technology and sports. The students had to go through a preliminary round for short listing. The Winning Team of the quiz were Himanshu Bhandari, Shabnam and Nandini of MBA I A, Neha Mishra and Rohan Mahajan of MBA III B were the Runners-Up Team.
March 17, 2023: An inter-college event ‘Apeejay Spark 2023’ was organised at Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar. More than 1200 students from 35 colleges across Punjab exhibited their communication, managerial and technical skills in various fine arts, literary and IT competitions organised during the event.
Madam Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairperson, Apeejay Education, conveyed her best wishes to participants from various colleges of Punjab. She stated that Apeejay Education institutions strive their best to provide opportunities for holistic development of students. She added that students have a lot of potential in them and they need to be provided with suitable platforms to showcase and hone their skills.
The students competed for top positions in as many as 22 different competitions which included Ad Mad Show, Debate, Business Plan, Net Savvy, LAN Gaming, Logic Testing and many more. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation among students in all the competitions. Dr Bagga in his address welcomed the dignitaries, jury members for gracing the occasion with their presence. He also conveyed his best wishes to the students and expressed that Apeejay Spark is held every year to provide young students an opportunity to bring out their innate capabilities. He said that such events are organised not only to provide a platform or to foster a sense of healthy competition among students but also to appreciate young talent and bring to students the level of excellence in various areas.
The fest concluded with a scintillating group dance performance. This was followed by prize distribution ceremony in which all the winners were awarded prizes and Certificates of Appreciation
March 14, 2023: International Pi Day was celebrated on 14 March 2023, to commemorate the occasion, a poster-making competition was organised by the institute. The topic for the poster-making competition was ‘Mathematics for Everyone.’ The competition was open to all the students of the institute. The aim was to encourage students to explore the role of mathematics in our daily lives and showcase their creativity by designing a poster that demonstrates the beauty of mathematics in the world around us.
March 08, 2023: The institute organised a felicitation ceremony to celebrate the unique contribution of some of the finest teachers in the Punjab region and to honour those teachers who through their commitment and knowledge have not only improved the quality of education but also enriched the lives of their students.
AIMETC organises various activities and events to bring educators at a common platform and hold discussions on pertinent topics concerning education sector like implementation of NEP 2020, imparting interdisciplinary education. March 01, 2023: The Information Technology Club organised ‘Logic Testing: A Programming Competition.’ The students of B. Tech, BCA and MCA participated with full enthusiasm and spirit in the event. They showcased their knowledge in programming by creating logical and analytical skills.
February 27th -28th, 2023: The Engineering Club organised National Science Week from 27th to 28th February 2023 to commemorate the discovery of “Raman Effect” by the renowned Indian Physicist Sir C.V. Raman. The theme of National Science Day, this year is “Global Science for Global Wellbeing.” The students of B. Tech CSE, B. Tech AI & ML and B. Tech IoT participated in the various competitions and presented their views with great confidence and enthusiasm. Dr Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC appreciated the students and congratulated the winners. Further, he mentioned that the objective of celebrating Science Week was not only inculcate scientific attitude and research mindedness but also create interest in Science.
February 24, 2023: The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of AIMETC organised a workshop on ‘Design Thinking, Critical Thinking and Innovation Design’ for the students of B. Com, BBA, MBA, MCA, BCA and B. Tech. The resource person for the workshop was Mr Rajiv Kumar Bhardwaz (HOD, School of Information Technology). The main objective of the session was to immerse students into the world of innovation as a systematic process of tackling relevant business and/or social problems.
February 24, 2023: The institute organised an Industrial Visit to Solitaire Infosys Pvt. Ltd. The students of B. Tech (CSE), MCA and BCA were accompanied by the faculty. The Chief Information Officer at Solitare Infosys gave the students input about the Services & Technologies that the organisation is currently working on and also how the websites are built & which platforms are used. The students were then given a presentation of the latest technologies and skills that are in demand in the industry and the Web 3.0 revolution.
February 24, 2023: The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) organised an Expert Talk on ‘Process of Innovation Development and Technology Readiness Level’ on 24 February 2023. The resource person for the workshop was Mr Rohit Verma, Assistant Professor, School of Information Technology, AIMETC.The main objective of organising this talk was to aware the students about the process of Innovation Development and to measure the technology readiness level.
February 22, 2023: Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus organised a turban-tying competition. The students participated in the competition with full enthusiasm and showcased their expertise in tying the turban. The first position was bagged by Gagandeep Singh of BCA (Semester-VI). Lovepreet Singh and Mahip Singh secured the Second and Third Positions respectively, both from B. Tech. (CSE-II). Dr Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC congratulated the winners.
February 21, 2023: The Corporate Relation Cell of our institute organised an Industrial Visit to provide exposure to the students about the practical working environment. To make the students understand and acquaint them with the various aspects of the production process, the students of MBA (Semesters II and IV) were taken to Century Plywood, Hoshiarpur. The engineers explained the technological marvel of the production of their product – MDF and also learned the technical aspects of production and operations at Century Plywood.
February 15 -17, 2023: A Three-Day workshop was organised on ‘Aptitude and Skill Development’ in collaboration with Rubicon Skill Development Pvt. Ltd. from February 15 to 17, 2023. The final-year students of B. Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Com (H), BBA and MBA attended the sessions. The resource person was Mr Santosh Kalsi, Soft Skill trainer from Rubicon Skill Development Pvt. Ltd. The aim of this workshop was to promote aptitude skills and enhance interview skills among the students of the institute. Dr Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC appreciated the efforts and initiative taken by the faculty members for organising this workshop.
February 11, 2023: AIMETC organised a felicitation ceremony to celebrate the unique contribution of some of the finest teachers in the Punjab region and to honor their commitment to enrich the lives of their students.
The institute organised various activities and events to bring educators to a common platform and hold discussions on pertinent topics concerning education sector like implementation of NEP 2020 and imparting inter-disciplinary education under the leadership of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairperson, Apeejay Education. This felicitation ceremony was one such event.
February 10 -11, 2023: The Finance Club of AIMETC organised a Two-Day Workshop on ‘Financial Literacy’. It was conducted in collaboration with National Institute of Securities Market (NISM) and sponsored by Kotak Securities under its ‘KONA KONA SHIKSHA PROJECT.’ It was for all the final-year students of B. Com, BBA and MBA. The honourable resource persons were Mr Nagesh Kumar, CS, CFA, CMA (Inter) and Ms Anita Saini, Securities Market Trainer with SEBI, resource person for PRFDA, NISM, NCFE, & NCDEX. The aim of this workshop was to promote financial awareness among the students of the institute.
February 06, 2023: The institute’s Alumni Committee organised an expert talk under the ‘Alumni Connect Series’ on the topic ‘Digital Transformation in Corporate Sector.’ The students of B. Tech, MCA, MBA, BCA, BBA and B. Com (H) attended with great enthusiasm. Mr Ritul Thakur, Head of Digital Office & Automations, Acclivis Technology & Solution Pte Ltd., Singapore who is an alumnus of our institute was the resource person.
Dr Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC, appreciated the resource person, on how articulately he had conveyed some of the complex topics in his lecture. Dr Bagga emphasised that Digital transformation in business has become almost mandatory for business success and students can expect a load of opportunities in the coming years.
January 26, 2023: To mark the 74th Republic Day of India, a quiz competition was organised for the students. The quiz was designed to acquaint the students with different facets of India becoming a republic and celebrate the endeavours put in by the makers of the constitution. The objective of the event was to invoke a vision of strong nation-building among the students, on the glorious occasion of Republic Day.
January 25, 2023: The Literary & Dramatics Cell celebrated National Voters’ Day on the theme “Nothing Like Voting, I Vote for Sure.” The students took a pledge that as the citizens of India, they would always uphold the democratic traditions of the country and the dignity of free, fair and peaceful elections. They pledged to vote in every election fearlessly and without being influenced by considerations of religion, race, caste, community, language or any inducement.
January 13, 2023: Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus celebrated Lohri festival with fun and frolic in the campus. Traditional folklore associated with the festival was sung and the teachers & hostel residents offered prayers and chanted hymns. Dr Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC, wished everyone on the auspicious occasion and expressed that this festival is a merry occasion to celebrate youth and vigour. He further added that he would like the students to be imbued with the spirit of exuberance and joy in their lives.
