Eligibility for Admission

The admission to this course will be through CMAT / MAT or on basis on Merit in Graduation., provided the candidate is otherwise eligible for admission. The candidate seeking admission to MBA should meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • A candidate who has the minimum qualification of Bachelor's Degree recognized by association of Indian Universities.
  • The eligibility for admission shall be as per the notification of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) from time to time.
  • He/ She should bear a good moral character.
  • He/ She must be in a good mental and physical health. Each candidate before admission will have to undergo a medical fitness examination and shall have to produce a medical fitness certificate, as prescribed by the University.
  • A student admitted to MBA programme must be on the rolls of an affiliated College/ Institute to attend the classes regularly as per rules and shall pay such fees to the College/ Institute as decided by the University / College / Institute from time to time.

  • A candidate who has the minimum qualification of Bachelor's Degree recognized by association of Indian Universities with mathematics as one of the subjects or the candidate should have one of the subjects as mathematics in 10+2.
  • A candidate should have the minimum qualification of Bachelor's Degree in Computer Applications or equivalent from recognized by association of Indian Universities.
  • The eligibility for admission shall be as per the notification of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) from time to time.
  • He/ She should bear a good moral character.
  • He/ She must be in a good mental and physical health. Each candidate before admission will have to undergo a medical fitness examination and shall have to produce a medical fitness certificate, as prescribed by the University.
  • A student admitted to MCA programme must be on the rolls of an affiliated College/ Institute to attend the classes regularly as per rules and shall pay such fees to the College/ Institute as decided by the University / College / Institute from time to time. 
  • B. Tech. - CSE (Computer Science & Engineering)
  • B. Tech. - CSE (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning)
  • B. Tech. - CSE (Internet of Things and Cyber Security including BlockChain Technology)

Eligibility for Admission

The admission to these courses will be based on merit in the qualifying examination, provided the candidate is otherwise eligible for admission.

B. Tech. - 1st Year

All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination from a Board recognised or established by Central/State Government through a legislation with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects:

  • Chemistry
  • Biotechnology
  • Biology
  • Computer Science / Technical Vocational Subject

If the seats of B. Tech. (Bio-Technology) remain vacant after the Central counselling, the seat may be filled with the candidates having following qualification also: 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects:

  • Mathematics
  • Biotechnology
  • Biology
  • Computer Science / Technical Vocational Subject

OR

Those candidates who have passed diploma in any Engineering Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal (SLIET), or any such examination from any other recognised State Board of Technical Education.

OR

The candidates, who have passed two years’ Certificate course from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal (SLIET), shall be eligible.


B. Tech. - 2nd Year (Lateral Entry)

  1. All those candidates who have passed Diploma examination from an AICTE approved Institution and have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology shall be eligible to apply.
  2. All those candidates who have passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognised University as defined by UGC with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject shall be eligible to apply.
    • Students who have passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognised University as defined by UGC shall clear the subject of Engineering Graphics / Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the 1st year engineering program along with 2nd year subjects.
    • Students belonging to B.Sc. stream may further note that they shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma stream.
  3. Passed D. Voc. stream in the same or allied sector.
  4. In the above cases, a suitable bridge course, if required such as in Mathematics may be conducted.

  • He/ She should bear a good moral character.
  • He/ She must be in a good mental and physical health. Each candidate before admission will have to undergo a medical fitness examination and shall have to produce a medical fitness certificate, as prescribed by the University.
  • A student admitted to BBA/BCA programme must be on the rolls of an affiliated College/ Institute to attend the classes regularly as per rules and shall pay such fees to the College/ Institute as decided by the University / College / Institute from time to time.

Hostel Charges (including Mess charges)

  1. Rs.86,000 per annum (For Single Room) Non AC Room.
  2. Rs.81,000 per annum (For Dormitory) Non AC Room.
  3. Rs.92,000 per annum (For Dormitory) AC Room.

Note:

  • If a student withdraws before/ after start of the course and the seat vacated by the student is filled by the institution, part of the fee will be refunded as per AICTE rules. However, in case the seat remains vacant and is not filled by the last date of admission the student shall not be entitled to get any refund from the institution and shall be obliged to pay the full fee for the entire tenure of the course.
  • Tuition fee & Hostel Charges shall be charged in two installments one at the time of admission and second in the beginning of second semester. All other fee and charges have to be paid at the time of admission.
  • Fee/ Hostel Charges/ Mess Charges once paid to the Institute cannot be refunded/ adjusted in any circumstances except the caution money, which shall be refunded on completion of the course and subject to the clearance of all pending dues. Refund of caution money if not claimed within one year, shall be forfeited.
