Capability Enhancement and Development Schemes at the Institute aims at nurturing the students through a wide array of programmes focusing on grooming the students as per the needs of the industry. Guidance for Competitive Examination
The Institute has a practice of guiding and preparing students for appearing in competitive examinations like CAT, Bank PO, IAS, CA, CPT, CS, UGC-NET, etc. The Institute strives to enhance the placement prospects of the students therefore training for competitive examination is paramount. In place of this, the Institute runs a course on Employability Enhancement Programme mandatory for all students. This course has five modules to train the students on aptitude, interpersonal, communication, technical, and interview skills. In addition to this, the institute also hires professionals for training students for aptitude and communication skills. Furthermore, workshops and guest lectures of an expert in the field are also organised to create awareness amongst the students about industry trends, opportunities, and guide students for appearing in competitive examinations. The Institute also has a regular subscription of competitive books and magazines and is made available for the students in the Institute’s library.
Career Counseling Cell
Career Counseling is a process that focuses on helping one understand one’s self, as well as work trends so that one can take an informed decision about education and career. The Institute has a Career Counseling Cell that provides learning/training opportunities in the areas of academic and career development and supporting the students in identifying their interests, strengths, and plans to justify their professional needs. The Cell comprises members from the Placement Cell and Entrepreneurship Development Cell to provide the right guidance to the students.
The Career Counseling Cell helps lay out a career map for the student and guides him/her on pertinent matters like selecting the right area of specialization, enhancement of skillset, gaining industry exposure through live projects/internships, pre-placement preparation, etc. The cell also organises guest lectures/seminars of eminent personalities from academia, industries, and renowned organisations to provide guidance and motivation to students in exploring various career avenues.
Soft Skill Development
To develop interpersonal skills and the ability to lead domestic & global organizations through innovation and creativity, we provide soft skill training to our students under our Employability Enhancement Programme. Students are also trained by hiring professional agencies like TechnoCampus.

Remedial Coaching
In pursuit of academic excellence and to provide holistic education to the students we at AIMETC offer remedial classes on regular basis to the students who are slow learners and academically weak. The objective of remedial teaching is to give additional help to students who, for one reason or another, have fallen behind the rest of the class in any of the subjects.
Slow learners students are those students who could not keep pace with classroom teaching and needs extra attention. Their motivation level is also low and finds it difficult to adjust to the teaching-learning process. In this, we provide special attention and learning support, to these students to increase their learning ability, knowledge skill, and academic standards. Slow learners are identified based on their performance in the qualifying examination and internal examinations. These students are given special attention to help upgrade their skills and boost up their confidence to bring them to par with their peers. The remedial classes are conducted during the working days after the regular teaching hours are completed. These classes are completed before the examinations to help the students score well.
Measure taken under remedial classes for improving academic performance:
- Extra classes are taken for the slow learners.
- Individual subject teacher personally counsels and guides the students for difficult subjects.
- For a better understanding of the subject bilingual explanations is imparted to the slow learners during and after the class hours.
- Standard course materials/lecture notes/lists of important questions are provided to the students for exam preparation.
Language Lab
The institute aims at the holistic development of students and realizes the significance of effective communication skills in getting lucrative jobs or becoming a successful entrepreneur. English Laboratory is a compulsory course in the curriculum of all undergraduate programmes – BBA, BCA, B.Com (Honours), and B.Tech. These classes are held in the Language Lab of the Institute.
The institute has a well-equipped Language-Lab with 24 workstations (computers) and other necessary equipment like headphones etc. to help to hone the communication skills of the students. The lab helps to works on four specific skills of the students: Listening, Reading, Speaking & Writing. The lab is equipped with 24*7 wifi connectivity which enables students to have access to study material and course videos of courses on Communication Skills and English being run by the prestigious university on MOOCS like Edx, Coursera, Udemy and NPTEL, etc. All the computers are equipped with SFEEIAT Language Lab Software which enables the students to practice listening comprehension exercises. They also enhance their vocabulary by watching interesting videos on ‘Common Idiomatic Expressions’, ‘Common Errors in English’ and ‘English Grammar’. They learn strategies to be successful in GDs and Personal Interviews through the videos available. The Teacher Terminal helps the teacher in assigning individual lessons to students. Hence, the use of this language lab software enables the students to learn at their own pace. Some of the other activities organised in Language Lab are:

Yoga and Meditation
Yoga improves the physical as well as mental health of an individual while meditation provides peace of mind and control over the body. Yoga and meditation when practiced regularly improves the focus of the mind and gives an overall sense of well-being. To have a healthy mind and body we, at AIMETC regularly organise yoga and meditation camps for students and faculty. The institute also has a separate well-designed and equipped Yoga and Meditation Room for students and faculty to practice yoga and meditate during their free time.
Personal Counseling
At AIMETC, we provide Personal Counseling to every student under Student Advisory and Mentorship Programme.
- Each student (mentee) is allotted a faculty (mentor) at the beginning of the academic session.
- The role of a mentor is of a guide, counsellor, motivator, therapist, a friend who develops a bond of trust with his mentee, with whom he can confide for any problem and seek suggestions on personal, academic, and career-related matters.
- The mentor meets the mentee at regular intervals of time to build rapport and check the progress and give suggestions on various matters.
- The faculty will continue to act as a mentor until the completion of the programme/degree.
